Our Journey

Our journey began with a single, ambitious goal: to establish a competency-based school for high school graduates in one of Indonesia’s 3T (underdeveloped, outermost, and frontier) regions in 2023. We believed that by providing specialized training, we could empower young people with the skills needed to thrive in the modern workforce.

However, as we conducted our research, we uncovered a significant and systemic challenge. We discovered that many high school graduates in these areas were not meeting basic competency standards. Their skills were far below what was needed for the job market. Digging deeper, we found the root of the problem: a lack of foundational support. Many teachers lacked a background in education, teaching materials were inadequate, and access to professional training was almost non-existent.

This insight shifted our focus. We understood that building a school was not the first step—we needed to build a strong foundation.

We also realized that technical skills alone were not enough. The students needed crucial soft skills, which were often overlooked in traditional education but are essential for any profession.

Our initial idea to create a competency-based school evolved into a broader mission. We decided to create a foundation dedicated to empowering individuals through comprehensive training. We started with a focus on training teachers, but our vision quickly expanded. Our goal is to train individuals to effectively fulfill their roles, no matter their profession or position.

We believe that by creating a robust training ecosystem, we can prepare people to take on greater responsibilities, including pursuing higher education and advanced training. This is our journey: preparing individuals to be ready for whatever challenges and opportunities lie ahead, building a more skilled and empowered community, one person at a time.
